Bosque del Apache
Bosque del Apache NWR, about 85 miles south of Albuquerque, NM, is wintering grounds for tens of thousands of snow geese and sandhill cranes. Every morning they lift off from their night time roost in various ponds to feed in the fields. Late afternoon they return to the ponds for the night. It is an absolutely incredible experience to see so many thousands of birds in the sky.
